Home

We know it has been a while since we have updated the blog, but since the day that we came home we have not stopped.  Mallory was discharged on January 28th and it felt like we went from worrying so much about her lungs and if she was okay, to being on the road home in a blink of an eye.  We were so glad to be able to leave the hospital, but was also so nervous if we were ready to take the next step in Mallory's care.  As Mallory's stay in the hospital was actually very calm to the normal HLHS baby, so has it been being home.  She is the best eater as we have not had to use a feeding tube since being home, is taking 85cc of food and is gaining weight "a little to good" as the cardiologist said in Cincinnati Children's.  She is sleeping great through the day and night and still does not like her diaper to be wet or dirty.  The daily life with her is a routine we try to stick to as close as we can with feedings every three hours, medicine three times a day and trying to keep up with work, house and girls.  We know there is still a long way to go before we can relax and have a "normal" life again, but from all of the support, prayers and thoughts we have received, we feel our road has been a lot easier then it would have been without those.  We greatly appreciate all of the support we have received and how blessed we are to have it.
